The final OW 2023 Hewitt Trail was held at Rye yesterday with 14 players playing, plenty of returning faces coupled with some looking for their first HH Cap.
Stapleford Foursomes in the morning on the Jubilee, followed by singles match play on the ever challenging Old in the afternoon coupled with stunning weather made for the perfect end to a very competitive 2023 Hewitt Team campaign. Rye was in fine form, the course playing firm and fast for February in what felt like a true links test as the wind picked up. (If you're keen to play Rye soon, sign up for our Spring meeting).
The final team will be announced the week commencing 27th February to give those selected at least 4 weeks to put the finishing touches to their game and prepare for the first round vs Canford on Thursday 30th March.
Thank you to all those that took part in the trials. Having so many keen and eligible players can only mean one thing for our future chances of success….watch this space.
