Autumn Meeting 2026 Invitation

THE SPRINGS RESORT & GOLF CLUB

SATURDAY 19th SEPTEMBER 2026

With the kind help of Anthony Esse OW the autumn meeting of the OWGS will be held at The Springs Resort & Golf Club, Wallingford Road, North Stoke, Wallingford, OX10 6BE on Saturday 19 the September 2026, organised by James Mallinson.

We are restricted to 28 players so entry will be on a "first come, first served basis".

CHARGES AND TIMES

The cost of the day will be a very modest £75. This includes coffee on arrival, green fees, lunch, prizes and gratuities and is great value for a day at such a delightful course. For Society members 25 years and under the cost will be £25, meaning that the OWGS will effectively cover your green fee. For Society members 26 to 35 years the cost will be £50, meaning the Society will effectively cover 50% of your green fee. Please take advantage of this generous support from the OWGS!

Arrive from 9.30am, morning tee times start at 10.36am, lunch will start at 1.00pm and afternoon tee times at 1.56pm.

2025 winners of these trophies, as listed above, are requested to return them (polished and engraved) to James Mallinson at the club on the morning of Saturday 19th September or, if unable to attend, make arrangements to get them to James by Sunday 6th September latest please.

ENTRY

Those wishing to play should complete the online entry form with confirmation of payment no later than Sunday 30th August. Details can be found here on how to pay under ENTRY

PLAYING PARTNERS

If you would like to fix your playing partner for the morning nine holes, please do so but make sure that you have agreed it with your chosen partner before sending in your details. If you and your partner would like to play against another pre-arranged pair in the afternoon, please complete the details accordingly. James will do his best to match people up as requested, and also very happy to make arrangements for both fours and singles for those who prefer to take "pot luck".

We will probably be playing in four balls both morning and afternoon tbc.
