OWGS Kent Tour - 1 to 4 Oct 2026

A team of intrepid OW's have just returned from a most glorious 4 days of golf down in Kent.
No question that the star of the show was the weather.  Over 20 degrees, little wind and shorts worn every day - fortune favours the brave.
We started on Thursday with 12 players for an afternoon round at Royal St Georges, followed by a jacket and tie dinner in the clubhouse. Over the next 3 days we reduced to 8 players and played at Littlestone and all 3 x 9 hole courses at Princes.
All of the courses were in great condition. We stayed at Princes Lodges which was very comfortable, with excellent staff and food.
Some keys players to note:
  • Biggest backswing - Simon Temple

  • Biggest bandit on tour - Simon Temple

  • Biggest handicap drop throughout the tour - Simon Temple (15 down to 6)

  • Chief whimperer about downgrades in their handicap - Robert Kelly

The list could go on.
A lot of fun was had by all. I hope that we can make it bigger and better next year.
John Denham
